Submit a Pitch

Submissions are reviewed and published on a rolling basis. Whether you are a university student, professor, or community stakeholder at large, we would love to feature your voice in our publication.

Given the trying political times, we are now offering anonymous submissions for those who have been pressured to stay silent. Below, for the “Name” field, please print “Anonymous” and “Submission,” or a pseudonym in the appropriate fields. As an additional measure, we recommend using a personal or burner email when reaching out to us, though all communication with our team will occur outside of Columbia University servers. If preferred, we have an operational Signal account that can be used at the submitter’s request. Our editorial team takes the safety of our peers very seriously, and to the extent that you share your identity with any of our staff, it will not be shared with anyone.

Regardless of these precautionary measures, we urge each and every member of the Columbia community to continue speaking up on the issues that matter to them. As long as you write, we will never stop publishing. For more information or concerns, reach out to cupoliticalreview@gmail.com

CPR considers submissions from:

  • Columbia University affiliates

  • Affiliates of other universities

  • Community group members and representatives, especially from Harlem, New York City, and New York State

If you are a high school student seeking publication, we encourage you to submit to our annual high school essay contest.

If pre-written, submissions must fall under 2,000 words and will undergo substantial revision to ensure conformity with the Review’s editorial guidelines.
